First I’d like to thank my father – the original Doctor Doo-Wop, you’ve molded me and made me the man I am today and exposed me to incredible music that has shaped my sound – I owe it all to you… To my mother who’s been with me since the beginning – from singing at birthday parties to having songs at the radio I have never done any of this without your love and support – thank you – I love you both so much. To my sisters Tiara, Tahiti, and Presley – I love you guys more than anything and everyday I just want to make you proud and be a good brother. To my sister Jaime – all of this is because of you and your drive to help me live my dream – couldn’t have done it without you sis. To my brother Eric who holds me down from bars and pubs across Ventura Blvd, and now on the stadiums, brother you’ve been there with me all the way from the beginning and I’m so happy to have you as my drummer – E-Panda rocks! To the rest of my extended family – thanks for paving the way and always being there. To my Duckie Chanel – you’ve seen all sides of me and stuck with me through them all, I love you. Mike Lynn – you saw it before everyone and gave me my start in this business – thank you. To the man that saved my life – B Creed – the noblest of steeds, there’s not enough pages for me to express how I feel – I should never have doubted your master plan, because it all seems to be working out. Brothers for life. To the band, the homies, my best friends – Brody Brown – you are the coldest – they don’t even know. Thanks for blessing me with your skills on this album and helping me take it to another level. Chuckie and Brian – you played for pizza and beer and I’ll never forget that. To the brothers Levine – Josh and Ari – Ari you were the missing piece to the Smeezingtons and I couldn’t do it without you, but Josh that isn’t a binding contract ;) so back up, but I love you too buddy. // Aaron Guaptanamo-Bay-Schucknies – you’ve been my soldier since day 1 – brought me to the label more than once and never gave up on me – Thank you for being a real A&R and one of my best friends. Uncle Janick – you won the lottery! Just kidding – I did! I’m so glad to have the hippest guy in the game running the show. Julie Greenwald – you’re the toughest chick this side of the Mason Dixon line and I know one thing’s for sure – If we were out in the streets and needed protection I can count on you to shank a bitch. Thank you for being you. Craig Kallman – thanks for making me the front man, even though in the back of your mind, Phil was always the star. Appreciate all you’ve done for us. Andrea Ganis – You made our songs connect with the world and for that we thank you – but remember – Don’t f**k this up! Mike Caren – we’ve come a long way – from sessions in the D room to being one of your first artists on Elektra – thanks for taking this chance. To Mr. Bronfman and Mr. Cohen – the uber-bosses – thank you for all your support – promise to make you guys proud. Thanks young Brunzwick we did it! Finally we convinced the world to just bokwitus! So proud of you. When I first met you I knew you were special and your talent far exceeded anything I’d ever seen (especially your ballet dancing), you made me a better writer, producer, singer, and person simply by being you. We built this whole thing from scratch man with a few dimes in our pocket and a dream in our head and it’s just the beginning. SLINGGOBBY GIPE!! // I have to thank my parents for giving me the kind of childhood and love that gave me the confidence to dream big and never give up, I promise I’ll pay back all the money you loaned me over the years!
